Laser Hair Removal

Our laser is extremely effective, virtually painless, and we guarantee great results. We offer much more than just hair removal with our laser so call today to see what we can do for you.

Is it permanent?

The effectiveness of laser hair removal depends on the characteristics of the individual. Skin type, hair type and pigment are all factors that can determine the outcome for a person. Our guests come to us with a wide array of skin types, hair types and hair problems, but the commonality is their desire for hair removal. Based on these individual factors, it is our job to determine the best choice of laser and best treatment plan that will produce the most desirable results.

What preparations should I make?

Patients scheduled for hair removal should avoid plucking, electrolysis or hair waxing for six weeks prior to treatment. If you have had a history of herpes simplex virus and are scheduled for facial hair treatment, prophylactic antiviral therapy may be prescribed. Also, there should be one or two days of stubble, and your skin should be thoroughly cleansed and dried, removing any makeup, creams, oils, topical anesthetics or skin-tanning products before laser treatment.

Are these treatments covered by insurance?

Most insurance companies do not offer reimbursement for cosmetic procedures. Consult your insurance carrier for conclusive information.

Is it painful?

Most of those who have tried other lasers report that our laser is much gentler and more pleasant. You should feel just a mild heat sensation on the skin. A slight redness of the skin, if it occurs at all, will typically fade within a few hours.

What is the cost?

There are many factors that influence the cost. The cost of removing hair with a laser can also be dependent upon the number of treatments that we believe will be needed. Generally, laser hair removal costs less overall than the alternative electrolysis, repeated waxing or even razor blades added up over a lifetime. Most people spend over 52 hours a year just shaving!

Are there side effects?

Your risks are minimal. Side effects may include redness, swelling, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, blistering and purpura (a laser bruise) in the treated area—but these usually do not last more than a few days. Permanent side effects are rare. Be sure to discuss potential side effects with your practitioner.

Can the laser treat sensitive areas?

Absolutely! In addition to the lasers gentle energy pulse, the hand piece doesn't contact the skin and there are no gels or sprays, aspects of other lasers that are messy and unsanitary. Private areas of the body, or areas difficult to access such as unwanted hair in ears and nostrils, can be treated!
